Stained Concrete Firepit

Stained concrete is one of the most beautiful applications for transforming concrete slabs. Often referred to as colored concrete, homeowners, designers and builders are drawn to stained concrete because of the unique outcome that can be achieved combining colors and application techniques. The results are limited only by the creativity of those involved in the stained concrete process. Give your driveway, walkway or patio a fresh new look.  Adding color with concrete stain to new or existing surfaces will enhance your home’s hardscapes dramatically.

This is an exciting way to change that dull gray patio, driveway or sidewalk into a beautiful space.

Concrete’s porous qualities and neutral tones offer a great canvas for stained concrete.  Using  stains, Pacific Brothers have been able to achieve rich, earth-toned color schemes resembling natural stone, marble, wood, or even leather.  Most stains are done in tans, browns, terra cottas, and soft blue-greens.  But there are new products on the market that will give us colors ranging from soft pastels to vivid reds, oranges, yellows, and purples.

Are you thinking of pouring a slab and would really prefer it had some attractive color to it? You might consider stained concrete by dry-shake color or an intregal concrete pour.  In the dry shake method the powdered pigments are mixed into the top 1/8 inch or more of the concrete that has just been poured.   With the intregal  pour method the colorant is mixed with the concrete in the truck before it delivered and poured.  Both methods create beautiful stained concrete.

Patios are more more beautiful; walkways and driveways are more inviting, when treated with color.
